Look good, feel good Friday’s – 22/4/16

On Friday the 15th of April not-for-profit charity organisation Dynami Australia hosted its annual fundraising gala.

A great night was had by all in the effort to raise money for those living with multiple sclerosis. I feel honoured to have been a part of a team who aim to make a difference in this world.

Gala

For this weeks LGFGF’s post I thought I’d feature some pictures from throughout the night to showcase my outfit! It was a great excuse to get my hair and make up done by the very talented sisters Olivia and Ally Greco – who both made me feel like a princess for a night! Thank you beautiful girls!

Inspo behind LGFGF’s: I have always enjoyed splurging on a new outfit every now and again and I now have good reason to. As my therapist noted, you could be feeling crappy and down but try make the effort to get out of bed, wash your face, dress in an outfit that makes you feel great and smack on that coloured lippy. The simple process of staying active by getting ready works wonders for your mental health. There’s no doubt that when you look good, you tend to feel good so I’ve dubbed my Friday’s as such.

For this weeks LGFGF’s post I have chosen to feature an outfit I wore to an  18th birthday party recently. Given the party was held at a home, I didn’t want to go too overdressed. My go-to statement piece for these kinds of functions are my black wet-look jeans. These are so versatile and can be worn at an array of functions, both casual and formal. They’re even perfect to wear to work!

I teamed up the jeans with a cute off the shoulder crop that I bought from a little store while in Europe. Please forgive me as I have forgotten the name of the store.

You have probably noticed a pattern throughout my featured outfits. I LOVE monochromatic pieces! Give me blacks, whites and greys any day! Having said this, I do also love my pops of colour – particularly pinks, reds and blues.

Hope you’ve all had a lovely week and don’t forget to check out my interview with numerologist Doreen Van Boxtel from Sunz and Moonz Oracle, here.

x love & light – Cat.

For today’s LGFGF’s post I’m going to feature a cheeky lace dress I bought from a little Asian store a couple years back. I wore this at a 50th birthday recently and the outfit made me feel fun, flirty and confident!
I love the cheeky cut out at the front and how the lace material drapes down at the back. I can’t believe I’ve only ever worn this twice! This is such a great take on the Little Black Dress and shows that the humble LBD need not be boring!

Please excuse my slack ass for not doing one of these for a while. Trust me, I’m quite often all dolled up – it’s finding a personal photographer at any given moment which constantly proves to be difficult!

Nevertheless, I’m committed to the cause that is LGFGF’s, so I promise to make more of an effort to get my act together and take some happy snaps!

Today I’m featuring an outfit I wore on Valentines Day. A couple of friends of mine decided it might be a nice idea to go out for lunch, some cocktails and a movie – since we are all single. I must admit, it was my first Valentines Day in many years in which I was single and I actually had the BEST time.

As a side note, (I know I’m getting off track) – I carried this beautiful rose quartz crystal with me on the day and it brought me an abundance of happiness, love and joy.

But More on crystals later… (hint hint – future post).

My girlfriend described my outfit as very Parisian, I’ll thank the skirt for that. I felt very girly and flirty in this little number and the red lippy, as always, lifted my spirits like you wouldn’t believe! Just the perfect combination for V-day!

Enjoy lovers! x

So I have been MIA for a few days due to some things going on in my life at the moment. Unfortunately my anxiety has relapsed and I began having panic attacks again. I will feature another post elaborating more on this, but for now I’d love to share the outfit I wore today to lift my spirits.

I’d like to start by saying that the colour red certainly makes a difference to your mood and ambience. Historically, red has been used to signify royalty or those who hold power. No wonder you feel like a bad ass bitch when you pop on a red dress or red lippy!

Today also marks the second last day at my job – a further nerve racking change brewing.

My advice:

✔️ Get Up

✔️ Dress Up

✔️ Show Up

✔️ & Never Give Up

No excuses! 🙂

Look good, feel good Friday’s – 25/12/15

Welcome to this special Christmas edition of Look Good, Feel Good Friday’s. I hope all my fellow Aussies out there have a great day today spent with family and friends.

What better way to showcase Christmas day, than to show off a little white lace number. Winter wonderland and angelic definitely springs to mind when considering anything white, and anything lacy. Actually to be honest – the material is more of a burned velvet, but it’s just as light and beautiful as lace.

Due to the nature of this material, a slip is required underneath the dress. I have opted for a nice plain and simple option for my look.

This outfit also screams festival fever – Coachella where you at? We all love a bit of boho babe within us and this dress really let’s your free spirit shine.

Christmas day may be particularly hard for some of you this year. All the more reason to dress yourself up and pucker up! I’ll meet you under the mistletoe 😉  Have a wonderful day everyone!

This outfit is great for wear in a casual work environment or on a night out for some drinks at a cool bar.

I wore this to work and even got a compliment on my Valleygirl vest from a lady who was waiting at my tram stop. Thank you, kind stranger! That certainly made my morning.

See below for outfit details.
